Patria and Datactica create significant sensor systems centre of excellence

Patria and the Finnish Datactica have signed a long-term co-operation agree-ment in order to create a centre of excellence in the field of intelligence, surveillance and command and control systems. The centre of excellence is significant in the Finnish scale but also internationally. The core competence of the centre of excellence is among other things deliveries of sensors connected with complete systems.

"Competences of Patria and Datactica complement each other - therefore co-operation enables us to offer ever more comprehensive and cost effective solutions in sensor technology, data fusion and signal processing for example to the Finnish Defence Forces' projects", says Mr Jukka Holkeri, Executive Vice President from Patria.

Patria's Systems Business Unit focuses on sensor and electronic warfare systems, life-cycle support, command and control systems as well as space electronics. Co-operation with Datactica is an excellent example of increasing the competence by networking with a partner. International competitiveness requires profound know-how in the selected core competence areas.

Datactica was founded 1999 and is specialised in situation awareness solutions and development of data fusion and data mining software.
