(Beijing, March 12, 2007) -- The sales revenue of Ameco Beijing exceeded 2 billion RMB, which is 5.6% higher than that in the previous year, reaches the highest level in its history. Its sales revenue has been continuously growing since 2002.

Developing worldwide

In 2006, 67 percent of aircraft overhaul business of Ameco Beijing was gained from international customers. After signing 5-year Boeing777 heavy maintenance with United Airlines, Ameco Beijing conducted 22 overhaul for the customer in 2006. Besides, Ameco completed heavy maintenance on Boeing 767-300s of Asiana, Boeing 747s of Air Atlanta Icelandic, Boeing 767-300 of Kenya Airways, Boeing 747 of Southern Air, Boeing 747 of ELAL and painted Boeing 767-300s of Qantas Airways.

Additionally, 62 percent of its powerplant overhaul business come from external customers, in which 25 percent was from international RB211-535 E4 shop visits by signing services agreements with Rolls & Royce, TES, ISRAIR, Astraeus, Cebu Pacific Air, EAST (a subsidiary of GTAX Air, San Francisco), etc. Keeping an average annual growth of 40% in this field since 2003, Ameco Beijing signed three customers from U.S. on RB211-535 overhaul and started to get engines even from OEMs.

Moreover, Ameco Beijing developed the component business in the international market. It overhauled Boeing 737-800 LDGs of Jet Airways and Boeing 737-300 LDG from Kenya Airways.

After Polar Air joined the customer community of Ameco Beijing last year, the number of the company's line maintenance customers was over 45. Moreover, Ameco line maintenance stations in Shanghai and Guangzhou are ready to service more customers.

Competing in China

As one of the advanced MRO providers in China, Ameco Beijing is making efforts to develop its capabilities.
As the only Chinese supplier to provide landing gear overhaul for LDGs of Boeing 737, 747 and 767 series, it complemented a spare LDG for Boeing 737 NG in its pool last April. On March 31, 2006, China Eastern Yun'nan Airlines awarded Ameco Beijing Boeing 737-300 landing gears for exchange/overhaul. And in the same month, Xiamen Airlines inked a contract on Boeing 737 NG LDGs.
Ameco Beijing became the China's first MRO provider to overhaul A320 LDGs last year after signing overhaul/exchange agreement for A320 landing gears with Air China Zhejiang Airlines.

At the same time, Ameco Beijing actively developed engineering services in 2006. It provided comprehensive technical services such as engineering support, MRO support, modification design and technical consultation for air carriers, engine condition monitoring, issuing engineering orders, engineering services for VIP aircraft modifications, developing non-routine repair schemes, troubleshooting solutions, and conducted Modification & Design Approval (MDA) for domestic customers.

Ameco Aviation College (AAC) became the first CCAR Part147 certified training organization in China last July. The obtaining of CCAR147 certificate is conducive for Ameco Beijing to further standardize maintenance staff training in order to better meet the increasing demand for qualified maintenance staff and technicians. Furthermore, Ameco Beijing became a CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) authorized exam center that provides basic license examination to Chinese technicians.
