Air Astana Signs Exclusive OnPoint Engine Service Agreement with GE

(Evendale, Ohio, April 12, 2007) -- Air Astana has signed a five-year, exclusive OnPointSM solution services agreement with GE to support its two CF6-80C2-powered Boeing 767 aircraft.

Air Astana Vice President for Engineering and Maintenance Robert Bryant said, "It is very important for a new airline to build industry credibility. This is best achieved by utilizing the services of specialists like GE. In this way, we can achieve the reliability, the delivery, the customer support and the quality we require. It is also gratifying that using the best can still produce a financial saving over others."

"We are excited about supporting Air Astana on their maintenance needs," said Muhammad Al-Lamadani, sales pole general manager for GE Aviation. "Our experience in maintaining CF6 engines will provide the airline with outstanding reliability and a low cost of ownership."
