(Atlanta, April 18, 2007) -- Ameco Beijing (Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Corporation) and US operator Ryan International Airlines (Ryan) signed a contract to conduct engine repair and overhaul for RIA's RB211-535 engines. After Ameco overhauled two of Ryan's engines in 2006 and beginning of 2007, this contract was concluded in March of this year and is the enhancement of the five-year General Terms Agreement between the parties. It is valid for all of Ryan International Airlines' RB211-535E4 engines that power its Boeing 757 fleet.
Mark von Husen, Vice President of Procurement & Sales, Jet X Aerospace, LLC, a company, that works with Ryan, says that the first engine Ameco did last year is "the strongest engine in the fleet" after flying in the fleet for several months and thinks "it's the engine the others hope to be one day". He adds that, "Ameco's facility is best international standard. We get specialized care here."
Ameco Beijing CEO & General Manager Chai Weixi says that, "This is the first long term engine deal we have got from the North American market. It indicates that Ameco Beijing is taking a successful step into the North American engine market."
Andreas Meisel, General Manager of Ameco Beijing is confident that, "Ameco Beijing will show the comprehensive capabilities and quality services in North American market through servicing the engine fleet of Ryan".
