NGC Delivers 100th Radar for the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor

(Baltimore, May 3, 2007) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) achieved a key milestone in April with the delivery of the 100th active electronically scanned array (AESA) production radar for the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor.

Designated the AN/APG-77(V)1, the 100th radar is part of the Lot 6 deliveries. F-22 production aircraft, each featuring the Northrop Grumman AESA radar, are currently in active service at Langley Air Force Base, Va. Twelve of the production F-22s were deployed in February to Kadena Air Base in Japan.

"This is a very significant event for the F-22 production program," said Teri Marconi, vice president of Combat Avionic Systems at Northrop Grumman. "The F-22 AESA radar is the most capable fighter radar in the world today. It ensures that Raptor pilots will have detailed information about multiple threats before the enemy's radar ever detects them."
