(FAIRFAX, Va.) -- The U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Virginia, has announced the award of a support contract to Argon ST, Inc., (NASDAQ:STST), for specialized engineering support services. The $9.9M Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity will provide the Navy with support services for a number of C4ISR systems including site support, hardware and software maintenance, and technical assistance. The contract has a period of performance that extends through October 2011. Work will be accomplished in Newington and Fairfax, Virginia.
Mr. Kerry Rowe, Chief Operating Officer of Argon ST, emphasized the importance of the contract to both the company and the customer. "We provide a number of state-of-the-art C4ISR systems to the Navy and this contract will ensure that the systems are ready to meet mission needs and that they can keep pace with the dynamic threat environment." Mr. Rowe went on to say, "The contract also underscores Argon's commitment to provide full engineering services to our customers from innovative system design and production to any required operational support."
